egX Group is looking to partner with parties established in key international financial centers within Europe, the Middle East, the Asia Pacific region, and the Americas to establish egX securities exchanges (egX Marketplaces) in those jurisdictions.


The advantage of establishing a securities marketplace from the ground up is that participants can have the opportunity to acquire an interest in an exchange for a fraction of what it would otherwise cost to buy into one. The cost of acquiring and operating a securities exchange is in hundreds of millions of dollars. Recent consolidations in the securities exchange business have given us a glimpse of the current costs of entering a marketplace. TSX Group completed a business combination where it paid over CDN$1.1 billion for the Montreal Exchange. In Europe, the London Stock Exchange and the Borsa Italiana completed a merger worth over CDN$2.5 billion. In Asia, the Singapore Exchange acquired a strategic investment in the Bombay Stock Exchange (5%) for US$42.7 million.

By entering into an emerging securities exchange, interested parties will benefit from substantially lower acquisition and operational costs, egX’s regulatory expertise and know-how in establishing securities marketplaces, and our brand recognition in a specialized, untapped industry sector.

Countries where there is huge demand for the construction of cities and their necessary infrastructure would be a natural fit for the deployment of an egX Marketplace.
